blue or pink

John and I have been more that excited to become parents.  We think about our little "bean" all of the time.  We couldn't WAIT to find out if we would be blessed with a little girl or a little boy.  John was POSITIVE that we were having a little girl, I on the other hand wasn't so sure.  All the "wives tales" pointed towards girl (yes we did them all: ring test (girl), Chinese calendar (girl),  heartbeat over 140 (girl).. and more), but I had dreams about a little baby boy.  Who knows?  It was 50/50 anyways.


Yesterday, we had our appointment.  We told the technician that we did not want to find out right away, we wanted to be around family and friends when we found out the BIG news.  The ultrasound was amazing.  We saw our little baby in 2d and 3d.  We saw our bean moving around, making a fist, sucking its thumb...of course I started to cry (not uncommon these days).

I asked the technician to put a pair of blue or pink socks in a little box, along with a picture "proving" the gender.  She was happy to do so.  We invited all of our family and friends over for the big reveal.

Can you tell John was excited.  We couldn't be happier to be welcoming baby Jackson into the world.  We love him already.

Last week we got back from an amazing Hart family 10 day cruise.  We were celebrating my mom's retirement.  It was a great trip.  Here are a few highlights:
